Fine Art Policy
This policy is a part of our Terms of Service. By listing any Fine Art items for sale on the Finnalby Sites, you’re agreeing to our Terms of Service and this policy.
Fine Art items are those that are created by you, the Seller, or a worker affiliated with your business. These differ from "pre-order" or "pre-made" items, which are orders for items that have not yet been made commercially available.
You may list your Fine Art on Finnalby as long as you follow these guidelines:
All Fine Art pieces are made by you or a worker affiliated with your business.
Item images and descriptions are your own design, must accurately represent the actual product that is for sale, and must not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets. See Finnalby Intellectual Property Policy.
Products may include photography if you are the photographer.
When Listing a Fine Art product, your item(s) must be labeled “yes” in the dropdown menu of the Fine Art Section, then categorized, for example, " Art Prints."
If a subcategory does not exist for your type of item, the Item will be listed as "Fine Art," then under the top level category." Please contact us and we will add in another category if deemed necessary.
If you are selling commission pieces or personalized pieces, you must indicate specifically that any product images used are purely for example.
The listing description needs to accurately state the lead-time for commission pieces, i.e., the amount of time it takes to complete production before the item is shipped to the buyer.
Once the Fine Art Piece is uploaded, it will automatically be placed in the Retail section of Finnalby until it is visually approved by the Integrity Team and moved into the Fine Art Section. This can take a few days to be approved after receipt of documentation of pictures or video of the creation process.
All Products will be submitted for approval with a short video or photography depicting the product being created. Trade secrets do not need to be disclosed in the video or photos.
If we discover that an artist is selling items on the Fine Art Section of Finnalby that are not genuinely created by the seller, we reserve the right to take legal action to protect the integrity of our marketplace.
Your items do not violate any listing policies or Terms of Service.
